The Play's the Thing

In 1953, legendary playwright Arthur Miller completed one of his masterpieces, The Crucible, which went on to win the 1953 Tony Award for Best Play. The Surfside Players will be performing this classic tale on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays from January 11-27. All performances will occur at The Surfside Players Theatre which is less than 10 minutes from the International Palms Resort. The Crucible is Miller’s story of the Salem Witch Trials which was meant to mirror the red scare that was occurring in the United States in the 1950s. In our current political climate, the play has taken on a new life and a new meaning. Regardless of political affiliation or interest, you will not want to miss this incredible performance and an American classic. Arthur Miller is one the greatest writers in American history, (he even married Marilyn Monroe!), and seeing his words come to life is an experience that you will treasure for the rest of your life.
